I committed the cardinal sin today, by entering Costco hungry. What is it about that place?? Things I would never, ever under normal circumstances consider buying, eke their way dangerously toward my cart. Lasagna pockets? It's lasagna, in a handy little bread pocket! No fork necessary, and they smell like an Italian grandma's kitchen. (Not mine, I don't have an Italian grandma, but someone's.)
Maybe I am intimidated by elderly women in hairnets boisterously shilling warm samples:
"C'mon over honey, try these belgian waffle squares! Don't need butter! Don't need sugar! PERfect, fresh out of the toaster! Try 'em, you'll be glad you did!!" And of course, I was glad. And I guiltily slunk away afterward, knowing I had no intention of buying waffle squares with no redeeming nutritional value.
"What aisle are they on? Next to the cereal? Great, thank you!"
And I head that direction with purpose, only to veer off abruptly behind an endcap of refried beans, hopefully unnoticed. Makes me feel like I am stealing, one miniature paper muffin cup at a time. Plus I feel like I am letting that poor lady down, and she is doing such a nice job promoting those little waffles.
So I survived the belgian waffle obstacle unscathed, but somehow made it home with a two pound container of hummus and these

which I do not feel guilty for buying at all. They are so. so. good.
Also trying their freeze dried fruit, which the kids loved. And I feel astronautish (yep, pretty sure that's a word) when I eat it, which is fun. The box is big, but the bags inside are pretty small. Which is good, because at some point the novelty will wear off and the kids will realize they are eating fruit flavored styrofoam.
So, got some shopping done today, worked in my son's preschool, and not a heck of a lot else. Hopes are high for tomorrow. Working in my older son's class, then have a list as long as my arm to start tackling. Wish me luck!

Spontaneous Blogging
Maybe it was peer pressure. Maybe because my posts wouldn't fit on facebook status updates anymore, or because my kids are too funny and adorable (oh yeah, I'm one of those people), not to share. Whatever the reason, I am joining the blogging world. It could be a new passion, or possibly it will be like skirt I *started* sewing eight years ago (still have it; still don't know how to put a zipper in.) We'll see...
I'd like to chronicle our daily life, like to share home/fashion/whatever things I find that inspire me, and I'd like to not have to keep it to five hundred and twenty characters if I don't want to. Looking forward to learning the whole process as I go.
So I am off to bed to rest my creative genius. Night!
